Incheon Terminal Mixed-Use Shopping Mall Development Project

Lotte Port Mall
Incheon is characterized by its identity as a trading and port city. Through the expansion and remodeling of Lotte Department Store Incheon Terminal, we seek to embrace this local identity and transform it into Incheon’s new shopping Port—a port and a place of respite. The existing department store and its extension are seamlessly connected, creating signature spaces for shopping both inside and outside. These spaces draw in people and nature, transforming the mall into a place of shopping and relaxation. In synergy with Incheon Bus Terminal, Lotte Port Mall is envisioned as a new landmark rooted in the identity of Incheon.

A Three-Dimensional Mixed-Use Shopping Mall That Draws in People and Nature
Rather than a monotonous, horizontally organized, grid-based shopping mall, we propose a dynamic Lotte mixed-use shopping mall that responds to the urban context through a new frontage design and organically integrates diverse cultural, commercial, and leisure facilities.
The existing pedestrian flows are reorganized to attract greater foot traffic, while the signature spaces Welcome Zone 1 and Welcome Zone 2 are connected by a three-dimensional Time Tunnel. This brings the flow of the city into the interior while providing diverse programs and differentiated spatial experiences.
