Government Busan Regional Joint Government Complex – Design Development Technical Proposal

“RE Connect,” the new Government Busan Regional Joint Government Complex, is a landmark project that redefines public value and envisions the future of Busan’s administration. A façade inspired by the interplay of light and sea reinforces its forward-looking identity, while open spaces that integrate the surrounding landscape create harmony with the site. Enhanced parking and specialized shared facilities further support high-quality public services.

The design ensures safety through a climate-responsive curtain wall, comprehensive stormwater management and evacuation planning for extreme rainfall, and a structural system optimized for the site conditions. BIM-based smart construction management, together with integrated SI/FMS systems, maximizes operational efficiency, while an optimized construction schedule secures additional time for finishing works.

Sustainable design strategies and renewable energy systems—including geothermal energy and high-efficiency solar modules—improve energy efficiency by 22.91% and reduce carbon emissions. Together, these measures establish the complex as a sustainable model for future government facilities.
