Government Complex Sejong District 3-1 was planned as the symbolic gateway to the Central Administrative Town—an Urban Gate where nature and citizens come together, as well as an Urban Plaza that can be freely used by everyone.

A Space for Rest and Leisure
The plaza was designed as a comfortable and inviting space that accommodates festivals, events, and a variety of cultural and artistic activities. It incorporates the form and qualities of nature while organically connecting with Bangchukcheon Stream, which runs through the site, creating an urban plaza where citizens can enjoy leisure and recreation.

Together + Funny
The key planning objective was to establish harmony and continuity with the Government Complex Sejong master plan and the previously developed government buildings. The design completes the master plan’s linear structure, outdoor spaces, and green axes, while establishing a green network that enables government employees, visitors, and citizens alike to enjoy and engage with the administrative town.
