PROJECT

Design Urban Design
Yangju Jangheung Public Housing District

Set within a scenic forested landscape, the site preserves the value of its natural surroundings while remaining well positioned for mutual growth with neighboring areas. The design embraces the region's history, culture, and environment, carrying forward a garden-city character, with a landmark tower placed to shape the view upon entry.

To allow the natural environment of the surrounding mountains and streams to coexist with everyday neighborhood life, the plan aims to create a living environment where nature can be naturally enjoyed as part of daily routines. This produces a wave-like urban landscape formed by the repeated arrangement of neighborhood units and view corridors, while a fully separated, three-dimensional circulation plan for vehicles and pedestrians completes the vision of a garden city where residents live together in harmony with nature.
