An Icon of Chungnam Education
The project was designed to naturally become part of the administrative town, harmonizing with the Chungnam Provincial Government Complex and Provincial Police Agency. Open spaces were planned in response to the green area to the south, with the buildings arranged to respond to both the symbolic main street and neighborhood streets. As an icon of education in Chungnam, integrated shared facilities for the two institutions were planned to promote efficient connectivity and collaboration.

Educational Design
The Office of Education takes the orderly form of a “bookshelf” as its design motif, while the Education Research & Information Institute symbolizes “stacked books,” creating a diverse and distinctive façade. The design also provides environmentally friendly workspaces with ample natural daylight and ventilation.

Eco-Friendly, Open Workspaces
The Education Research & Information Institute maximizes openness through a courtyard connected to the pilotis space. An eco-friendly rooftop garden was also created to establish a green network connecting the two institutions.
