This project involved the construction of a large-scale mixed-use development in Block B3 of Songdo International City, comprising four buildings ranging from four basement levels to 49 stories above ground, combining apartments, officetels, and retail facilities. In particular, special construction techniques — including a sliding-type RCS (Rail Climbing System) kit — were applied to realize the ascending, wave-shaped façade inspired by a vortex and the complex, non-standard exterior panels. Ensuring the structural stability of the super-tall towers, securing the stability of the foundations and underground structures under reclaimed ground and high groundwater conditions, and preventing the discharge of contaminated soil into the adjacent waterfront were critical management priorities. In addition, as the site is adjacent to Incheon Subway Line 1 and International Business District Station, construction management within the railway protection zone and ensuring the safety of railway operations were also key management considerations. Comprehensive construction management was further required to secure the quality and performance of specialized facilities, including the media façade and premium community amenities.
