This project involved the reconstruction of Hotel Hyundai Gyeongpo, originally opened in 1971, into a hospitality complex comprising a hotel building, a convention center, an outdoor performance venue, an exhibition space, and a traditional Korean hanok hotel. The project was designed by the world-renowned architect Richard Meier. In particular, precise construction quality control for specialized exterior finishes and key interior finishes was essential to realize the iconic design elements — including TX concrete panels and floating balconies — created to harmonize with the natural surroundings of Gyeongpo Beach. In addition, comprehensive construction management was required to secure the performance of eco-friendly systems, including solar and geothermal energy facilities, as well as the MEP systems serving the various ancillary facilities, in order to meet the client's requirements for a top-tier luxury hotel and to realize an optimal accommodation and guest-service environment.
